I.P. Based Security
The NVRS is a
full-featured, enterprise-wide monitoring, surveillance and
recording software system which functions as an integration
platform for several mission-critical security systems. Each
system provides seamless digital video management, along with
audio and serial data transmission and management across any IP
network. The NVRS Classic enables true convergence of CCTV and
the enterprise Local Area Network (LAN) or Wide Area Network
(WAN).No matter how you use this powerful system, whether it
be within an enterprise or on a small to medium size business
LAN, across a campus, over a citywide WAN or the Internet,
efficient bandwidth usage and management is the key to
successful implementation of a distributed digital video
management system. The NVRS Classic uses the MPEG-4 encoding
standard, which is recognized by the vast majority of industry
experts to be the most efficient video-coding standard for IP
networks. By using this standard, both storage and network
bandwidth requirements are minimized allowing for long-term
recording with reasonable storage capacity as well as routing
over pubic networks at the lowest possible cost.
The NVRS platform forms the core of Total Security
Information Management System - an integrated surveillance
system, which integrates onto one graphical user interface
access control, facility management system status, emergency
procedure documents and active maps that pinpoint security
equipment location.
The NVRS combines many stand-alone systems into one software
based product, including best-in-class features supported by
digital video recorders, matrix switching systems, video
multiplexers and transmission systems. These system functions
are available to you anytime and anyplace you have network
connectivity.
The NVRS Classic runs on Windows 2000/XP Professional. The
distributed architecture of the system enables simultaneous live
monitoring from multiple stations and storage both on and off
premises. The software can be scaled to store and view up to 55
camera and monitor connections across up to three servers.

The NVRS Platform is based on a distributed
architecture, which enables you to use the networking
infrastructure you already own and eliminates the need for
costly, multiple wiring sets. With this application, you
no longer need coax for video transmission, 4-wire for PTZ,
2-wire for access control, 4-wire for intercom, 2-wire for alarm
input and output control signals. All five sets of signals are
carried over a standard Ethernet connection or a single twisted
pair telephone line.
